A real person reads every message, usually within a business day. Tell us the email you sign in with, whether you're on the web or the iPhone app, and what happened. A screenshot helps.
Create a free account at useheyhippo.com or in the HeyHippo iPhone app. We email you a 6-digit code to confirm your address, then a few questions set up your business. Your account works the same on the web and on your iPhone.
It can take a minute, and it might be in spam or junk. A code works for 15 minutes: tap Send a new code for another. If the address already has an account, we email a note saying so instead of a code, so try signing in.
On the sign-in page, tap Forgot password? and we'll email you a link to choose a new one. The link works for 15 minutes.
A sign-in ends after 30 days without use, and changing your password or email signs out your other devices. Just sign in again.
The free plan includes 5 invoices a month. Pro is unlimited, with recurring invoices, scheduled sending, all templates and reports, for CA$13.99 a month or CA$109.99 a year. Both start with a 7-day free trial, once per business. Pro bought on the web works in the iPhone app, and the other way round.
Change plans, update your card or cancel in Settings › Plan & billing › Manage subscription. Cancelling keeps Pro until the end of the period you've paid for. For a refund, email us.
Apple handles these. Manage or cancel it in your iPhone's Settings › your name › Subscriptions, and ask Apple for refunds at reportaproblem.apple.com. Deleting the app or your HeyHippo account doesn't cancel it.
Sign in with the same HeyHippo account; Pro comes with it. Pro bought with your Apple ID is picked up when you sign in.
Let clients pay your invoices by card from Settings › Card payments. Stripe sets up an account for your business and pays the money into your bank. Fees are Stripe's standard card processing plus a HeyHippo fee of 0.5% on the free plan, or 0.25% on Pro. Payouts, refunds and disputes are in your Stripe dashboard. Payments to your own PayPal, Venmo, e-Transfer or bank details are free: HeyHippo takes nothing.
Check their email address on the client, and ask them to look in spam or junk. Invoices come from invoices@useheyhippo.com with your business's name, and replies go to your business email. You can also share the invoice's link another way, such as a text message. To keep email delivery reliable, an account can send 20 emails a day on the free plan and 200 on Pro.
Choose which reminders go to clients, and which emails you get, in Settings › Notifications.
Invoices, estimates, clients and Home are saved on your device as you use them, so you can look at them, and create or edit them, without a connection. Changes sync on their own when you're back online. Sending, payments and settings need a connection.
